Starting yesterday (May 5), foreigners who have travelled to the Chinese mainland from Macao can immediately apply to return to the city without having to stay in the mainland for at least 21 days, as long as they have not been to any countries or regions outside the Chinese mainland or Macao 21 days prior to their entry, according to Macao heath authorities.
The new policy aims to facilitate foreigners who travel frequently between the Chinese mainland and Macao for family reunionsand important commercial, academic or other professional activities. The Macao SAR Health Bureau has launched an online application system for eligible foreign nationals (scan the QR code below).

Hong Kong to lift flight ban on Ireland, Britain
The Hong Kong SAR government announced Tuesday (May 4) that if there is no significant change in the epidemic situation in the city and in related overseas regions, the air travel restrictions on persons from Ireland and Britain will be lifted from this Friday (May 7).

Inbound flights from the above places can be resumed and Hong Kong residents in these places will be allowed to fly back from May 7, subject to the strictest mandatory quarantine and testing arrangements upon arrival, according to the HKSAR government.
Meanwhile, the government continues to prohibit all passenger flights from India, Nepal, Pakistan and the Philippines from landing in Hong Kong. People who have stayed in these countries as well as Brazil or South Africa for over two hours in 21 days are barred from boarding for Hong Kong.

New health codes show COVID-19 inoculation records
People who have received COVID-19 vaccines in Guangzhou are surprised to find a kapok flower badge on their health codes.
The WeChat mini-program Suikang code(穗康码), operated by the municipal government to provide official proof of one's health status, has been updated to record residents' history of vaccination against COVID-19.

Individuals who have had the first jab of the coronavirus vaccine will see a yellow kapok flower at the center of their health codes, and the flower would turn red after the holder receives thesecond dose. The time of inoculation and the number of vaccine doses administered will be displayed below the health code.
