Ferry service between the Nansha Passenger Port and Shenzhen Airport Wharf (南沙客运港至深圳机场码头) will be partially canceled in March due to ship maintenance and deployment, according to a recent notice issued by the passenger port.

Passengers can get their ticket refunded or changed without charge within the month.

"Double security checks + negative NAT result" for Beijing-bound travelers

Passengers taking trains towards Beijing are required to pass security checks twice and produce a negative test result of nucleic acid test (NAT) against COVID-19 before boarding. The rule has taken effect from March 1 and will remain in place till March 12.

The adjustment targets Beijing-bound travelers taking trains at Guangzhou South Railway Station, Shaoguan Railway Station, Zhongshan Railway Station, Zhuhai Railway Station, Jiangmen Railway Station and Yangjiang Railway Station (广州南站、韶关站、珠海站、中山站、江门站和阳江站). The requirement involves trains G72, G80, G66, G68, G70, D922, D924, D902, D904, D910 and D928.

Guangzhou plans construction of 16 road projects this year

Guangzhou is ramping up efforts to expand its transport network with an ambitious plan to start constructions on 16 key road projects within the year, Zou Xiaojiang, an official with Guangzhou's Transportation Bureau, told a press conference yesterday (March 1).

According to Zou, the 16 projects include the Yuzhu Tunnel (鱼珠隧道), Huizhan Xilu Tunnel (会展西路隧道), Hualong Tunnel (化龙隧道), Chenxiang Bridge (沉香大桥) and Ruyi Bridge (如意大桥). Also, the city is pushing forward with another batch of key projects, including the north extension line of Chebei Lu (车陂路北延线), second phase of Kuaijie Lu (快捷路二期), express line between Dongxiaonan and Guangzhou South Railway Station (东晓南至南站快速干线), Nanda Avenue (Zhongsan Lu - Lianhua Dadao in Panyu district) (南大干线), and Guangfo (Guangzhou-Foshan) Bridge.
