1. The regional GDP of Guangdong surpassed 11 trillion yuan in 2020, achieving an average annual growth of 6% compared with that of 2015. The province's economic aggregate has maintained the largest in China for 32 consecutive years, according to the provincial government work report released on Sunday at the 4th session of the 13th Guangdong Provincial People's Congress.

 

2. Guangdong is also targeting economic growth of more than 6 percent this year, Governor Ma Xingrui said Sunday.

 

3. Baiyun district of Guangzhou is piloting the province's first online flower fair, with sellers presenting flowers online through pictures, videos and livestreaming while buyers placing orders for home delivery or pick-up at stores.

7. Eleven miners were lifted to safety on Sunday, 14 days after an explosion trapped 22 miners underground at a gold mine that was under construction in Qixia, Shandong province. Rescuers also retrieved the body of a miner who had shown no sign of life last Wednesday. The search continued for the remaining 10 missing miners. No contact had been established with them as of Sunday.
