It's China's National Day and the Mid-Autumn Festival tomorrow, which will be celebrated through a week-long holiday from October 1 to 8. Many people are getting ready to travel around. But if you choose to stay in Guangzhou, SilkRoadPost have some great places to recommend for a fun and relaxed day trip in the city.

The Beijinglu Pedestrian Street, one of the most celebrated attractions in Guangzhou, has taken on a new look after a major upgrade for more than half a year. The main street has been widened and extended to 3.5 kilometers long to include several back lanes, as compared to 1.1 kilometers previously.

It now boasts the country's largest outdoor naked eye 3D LED screen, which is easily spotted at the facade of the Xindaxin shopping mall(新大新百货), playing impressive videos about the city's culture.
The street became the first in China to achieve full coverage of 5G network, which enables it to provide high-tech tourist services. Robots are used to help clean up and patrol the streets and deliver food in restaurants. Intelligent garbage bins and self-driving vans that sell snacks and beverages can also be found on the streets.
Many buildings have been spruced up, with decorative green roofs, glass shopfronts and warm and soft lights to create a cozy atmosphere. More shops have opened upstairs in the buildings so that people can enjoy the view while dining or shopping.
The commercial block is getting more diverse in types of business to attract young consumers. Art making, electronic sports games and fashionable cultural and creative products are available in the area. The Museum of Cantonese Cuisine at Shufang Street(书坊街)and the Chan Li Chai Museum of Traditional Chinese Medicine(陈李济中医药馆)are also worth visiting if you want to learn about the intangible cultural heritage of Guangzhou and China.
Guangzhou Cultural Park(文化公园)
The annual lantern show at Guangzhou Cultural Park offers the most festive air in the city at night and will open to the public for free throughout the holiday this year.
The park welcomes tourists with beautiful groups of animal-themed lanterns, depicting the harmonious coexistence between human and nature. Lighted decorations and special smoke effects could give visitors the feeling of wandering into a fantasy land.
People can also guess lantern riddles and enjoy Cantonese opera, lion dances and other art performances in the park.
Yuexiu Park(越秀公园)
The iconic Five Goats Statue at Yuexiu Park turns 60 this year and will have its birthday celebrated through a spectacular light show during the holiday. 3D scenes created by lights and shadows will be cast on the statue at night, together with creative and modern art installations dotted around the park, to present a marvelous visual feast.

Concert tickets can be booked through the official WeChat account of the Baiyun Mountain Scenic Area(白云山风景名胜区).
