A breathtaking light show, featuring a 3D viewing of colorful and glistening auroras, will be unveiled tomorrow (August 1) at Baiyunhu (or Baiyun Lake) Park (白云湖公园) in Baiyun district. Lasting through the end of August, the so-called "A Night of Aurora Borealis (Northern Lights)" light show will take visitors on an immersive journey to experience the nature's true wonders within the city.

Hundreds of light settings designed in the shapes of animals—like deer, peacocks and jellyfish—also make the park an ideal choice to spend a summer night.

Water-splashing Festival in Liuxihe National Forest Park

If you are searching for a destination for summer refreshment in Guangzhou, a water-splashing activity could be an ideal choice. The 14th Water-Splashing Festival is now in full swing in Liuxihe National Forest Park (广州市流溪河国家森林公园) , and will run through August 21.

Apart from traditional water-splashing activities, visitors can enjoy the ethnic dance and drum dance of Dai people, one of the ethnic groups in China, as well as join interesting games.

If you missed the GAFA Online Degree Show that closed on July 15, here comes another chance!  The only off-line session of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts (GAFA) Degree Show in the year is now open to the public at Yongqing Fang in Liwan district. With over 60 selected art pieces, the exhibition will offer visitors a feast on the great variety of creative works by young art grads.
