Guangzhou is now ramping up efforts to establish a "3060" transportation circle around Baiyun Airport — 30 minutes to the city's downtown areas and 60 minutes to major cities across the  Pearl River Delta.

To further facilitate travel, the airport is planing a high-speed railway station at its Terminal 3 Building and is expected to introduce more metro lines and intercity rails. The airport also will begin its third-phase construction—including new runways, T3 Building and supporting facilities—by the end of year, officials said.
