Guangdong has reported no new confirmed COVID-19 cases for five consecutive days as of May 11, according to data from the provincial health commission. No new asymptomatic carriers have been reported in the province for two consecutive days.

Conferences and exhibitions can get back on agenda in the city, with measures like online reservation and guest density control, Guangzhou Municipal Commerce Bureau said in a notice on May 9 on its official website.

All units should coordinate curbing the epidemic and restoring the economic and social order, the notice said, requiring greater efforts to reduce the impact of prevention and control measures on people's life while ensuring the full restoration of economic and social order.
